Another Risk for the Love of Landscape

The first time I took a risk for landscape, was from the top of a mountain,second was in the waters at a dam, third I got lost in a small village, and once again I took another risk for my first photography love, Landscape. If that isn’t love then what is it? (Laughs)

I am still yet to decide if I am afraid of heights or not?, but I sure love the look of things from “above”. I guess this is why despite the initial jitters and frights, I always want to go up.

Late last year I approached a friend( an architect), telling him I wanted to shoot from the top a tower his firm was building. He told me it was a 17-storey tower, but I actually didn’t realize how high that was until  I actually did the shoot about a month ago.Wow! that was high!, although I took most of the pictures from the 15th and 16th floor.

Construction work was seriously going on, so I never got to use my tripod, I just kept capturing what I could, trying to stay away from the edge of the building.Thankfully, I was accompanied by a safety engineer, and another architect (they both insisted on accompanying me).

I took quite a number of pictures, but I love to share these seven with you

1. Loved the roof top view

2. I wanted to capture the speed boat at first, but it was too far

3. Just love the view

4. I always do at least one panorama view, it didn’t help that i couldn’t use my tripod.

5. This place is called 1004.flats.

6. Can you notice all the colours? I think yellow is most outstanding.

7. Roads! are these toy cars or what?
